PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2025 Apply Online, Eligibility & Benefits

The Government of India has introduced the PM Vishwakarma Yojana for the financially weaker sections of society where the beneficiaries can get a Rs. 1 lakh loan without any collateral in the first phase and Rs. 2 lakhs in the second phase. The interest rate of the loan will be as low as 5% annually. Also, the PM Vishwakarma Yojana offers skill training to the beneficiaries and Rs. 500 will be paid as the stipend during training. Rs. 15000 will be provided to buy the tools and kits. The loan tenure will be 18 months for the first phase and 30 months for the second phase. Additionally, on every digital transaction (up to 100 transactions per month), beneficiaries will get incentives of Re.1.

What is PM Vishwakarma Yojana? 

The PM Vishwakarma Yojana was introduced by the Government of India and Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman announced it. The full name of the scheme is PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana. People know the scheme with various other names such as PM Vikas Yojana or PM Vishwakarma Yojana of Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana. It was passed from the union cabinet on 16th August 2023 and officially launched on 17th September 2023. The main objective of the yojana is to provide financial support to artists, craftsmen, and small business owners and allow them to grow their businesses. 

The Government of India has allocated Rs. 13,000 crore for this scheme. The yojana offers loans up to Rs. 1 lakh at a 5% interest rate to the artists and craftsmen to expand their work. Once they repay their loan, they will be eligible for the second phase of the loan where they can get up to Rs. 2 lakh at a 5% interest rate. Along with the loan, the beneficiaries get various other benefits such as skill training per day, a stipend of Rs. 500 per day during training, and Rs. 15000 to buy tools. 

The beneficiaries get the PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card for their identification. 18 traditional trades are covered under the scheme. Painters are not included in the eligibility list of the yojana.

Benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojana Login And Apply

The benefits of PM Vishwakarma include: 

  1. The eligible candidates will get a loan of up to Rs. 1 lakh in the first phase at a 5% interest rate. 
  2. In the second phase, candidates will get a loan of up to 2 lakhs at a 5% interest rate.
  3. The Yojana also offers training programs for the beneficiaries to polish their skills. 
  4. Rs. 500 will be given as a stipend per day during the training period. 
  5. If the beneficiary wishes to buy tools, he will be provided Rs. 15000.
  6. Also, the candidates will get an ID card and a PM Vishwakarma certificate. 
  7. Loan tenure for Rs. 1 lakh will be 18 months and 30 months for Rs. 2 lakh loan. 
  8. On every digital transaction, the beneficiary will get Re.1 incentive but it will be provided for up to 100 transactions monthly.

  1. The applicant must be a resident of India. 
  2. Only artisans and craftsmen are eligible to apply. 
  3. The applicant’s age should be above 18 years during registration. 
  4. Only 1 member of a family can apply. 

Who is not-eligible to apply in PM Vishwakarma Scheme

If you are getting benefits from PMEGP, PM SVANidhi, or the Mudra Loan scheme, you are not eligible to apply for PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Additionally, government employees and their family members cannot apply.

How to Apply for PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024? 

The steps to apply for PM Vishwakarma Yojana are mentioned below: 

  • Go to PM Vishwakarma online official portal at https://pmvishwakarma.gov.in/ 
  • You will get the option for “Registration”. Press on it and register using your mobile number and Aadhaar card number. 
  • You will get an OTP on your mobile number for verification. Enter this OTP in the space provided. 
  • After verification, You will see a registration form on your screen. 
  • Enter the required details in the form such as address, name, trade details, etc. 
  • Press “Submit” and download the PM Vishwakarma ID and certificate. 
  • Here, you need to do PM Vishwakarma Yojana login 
  • Upload the required documents and Submit the form
  • Once your form is submitted, officials will verify it. 
  • The beneficiaries will get the loan amount in the bank account directly. Commercial banks, Regional rural banks, and other financial institutions will be used.
